Jennifer Hanson is a cute "modern" probably fairly new "country star". I think she is the daughter of someone in the group "Alabama". She plays guitar, you can see her on CMT.

Jennifer is married to a songwriter. Her record "Beautiful Goodbye" is charting at #12. I saw her on MWL Saturday night with her band and she's awesome! She also has a steelplayer! Image

Sounds like a girls night at the Opry! Image

Mountain Heart's a great band. Adam Steffey
on mandolin formerly of Allison Krause band
and the banjo, I mean b@^!o player, Barry Abernathy is amazing. On his fretting hand, he has his thumb, some of his index finger and not much else!He used to play with Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. Anyway,I think Adam Steffey has a quartz timepiece hooked up to his heart, his timing is sooo.. impeccable.

The Crabb family was great. So was Joshua Matahoshi on steel. To bad they didn't let Lorrie finish Crazy. Had to get to the Shanier profile.

When I flipped on the TV Katie was just finishing her talk before Lori singing Crazy, and she was crying, what did I miss.
Thanks

Someone that worked with the Opry, or CMT, I'm not sure which had passed away yesterday, and she was reporting that fact when she broke down. The girl does have a heart.

That was a nice tribute, too bad they couldn't have done something like that on the televised portion last week for Opry member, Johnny Paycheck. Image

I don't think that was ever in doubt. It's whether she has a brain....

Hey Muttonhead, good take on Barry Abernathy!
I first saw him with Doyle, and after the first three bars, you don't notice the hand, just the incredible playing. Barry's a real nice guy, too.
And as a side note, Candy says hello!!

Miss Keener looked great from the first closeup.

Also seeing Tommy W behind the Crabb family.
Going to catch the end so I can see who passed away.

Did you notice the Crabb family got more audience response than the rest of the show combined.

Didn't get to see the show but the Crabb's are for real! Mike Bowling is arguably the best male singer in gospel music! Don't know if he sung or not. He is married to a Crabb.
He is the guy that recorded "Something Out Of Nothing", the same song I played on the Audio/video clip, posted on this forum.

I was somewhat disapponted in Terry Clarks band, to me they sounded like they were not ready to play and were all slighty off tune as well. They didn't seem to click . I really like Terry and her new song . Her video with the old Tele' and Tweed amp is right up my alley. Plus I'm getting tired of the main acts ( Terry in this case ) looking good and dressed for the occassion and the band showing up in whatever was laying on top of the pile on the bathroom floor.

Now Moutain Heart and the Crabb family were top notch, they were the show. Glad to see them .

Larry, Barry may well have played with Third Tyme Out, between Terry Baucom and Steve Dilling. Terry quit rather suddenly, and Dilling was with Lonesome River Band, replacing Sammy Shelor, who had left to play lead guitar with Mathews, Wright, and King.

I was impressed by the lead singer with the Crabb Gospel Group! Thanks Reggie for informing us about the song as well. I'm going to buy their CD tomorrow. Gary...I noticed the same thing about the audience's great response to the Crabb Family...maybe some more Southern Country Gospel Bands could be played more?!
