He is one of the more(or most) successful songwriters in Nashville. I believe he is still doing that. |

My first recollection of him - I was going to a Vince Gill concert at the county fair in Grand Island, Nebr, late 80's sometime, no-opener, but the pre-concert music being played over the system was fantastic.....
everyone sitting around listening, chattering "who is this?!?!" Found out it was Lionel Cartwright - I sought out and found a current cassette of him at that time, vividly remember "In my eyes" - I have some digging to do now and find that!!!
PS - I also became a huge John Hughey fan that night, shook his hand after the show! |
