I am sitting here watching Alan Jackson on CMT. I dont know the steel guitarist for Alan but he is a great player. At first, he sounded like he was in a well, but fortunately the sound men adjusted things so that we could hear his nice solo work on Blues Man. He does a great job of doing the Paul Franklin licks you hear on the records. Good job on a good looking Derby steel. Must be nice to be so talented ! May the music of Alan Jackson continue to flow !

It's probably Robbie Flint. That's who has been playing the road (and some studio) with AJ ever since I can remember.
