Does anyone know anything about Van Howard who sang with Ray Price?

A while back I asked Buddy Emmons whatever happened to Van - and he indicated Van had gone into the Banking business in Texas back in the 60's, apparently abandoning music.

anyone know fer sure?

it's true that he went into the banking business in dallas. i am near certain he passed away in the last 10 years or so.

If Van has passed away,it has been in the last 4 or 5 years...I visited with him in Texarkana at the Western Swing Festival..I think he told me he was running a computer store...he was in good health but had quit singing...If he is gone, I am really saddened...He was a good friend and a favorite singer..
