Years ago, must have been the late 60's, I was working for Dave Dudley. We played there with Porter and Dolly. The thing I remember most was how down to earth Dolly was. Many days when she would come down to eat she sat with the pickers and not the "stars".A real nice person. Richard

Since I used to live in Tucson (DMAFB 1970-74) my ears "perk up" when I read Tucson. I have heard Hal Rugg say that he got his inspiration there by watching Hank Thompson. If you see Hal Rugg, talk to him about the Tucson Gardens, he has fond memories of it-he said he lived in Tucson until he was 17.

Larry: Im from Mpls,Mn. and live here now. I've known Hal since he moved here in 57 and played at the Famous "Flame Cafe" until he moved to Nashville in about 64. He used to borrow my Sho-Bud #003 once in a while. Al
