Kind of a big move - maybe you should sleep on it. It can't be useless, can it?

Man I hate to see you are quitting. Thinking about it myself though. In the mean time I am interested in your backing tracks. Let me know what you got and how much for them.

Huey,
Maybe it would be wise to hold on to your steel and your favorite amp for a little while longer...Everybody gets the "give e'm ups" now and then..meanwhile you could sell some of the other gear( you seem to have pleanty) raise a little cash and make a little more space. I just hate to see someone give up after that many years. You most surley have a lot of love for this inst.....Think about it ...

Somebody said on here a while ago that, since they now realize that making a living playing isn't realistic that they consider it their golf game. I like that concept. It has helped me put it in perspective.

I'm never going to be a great steeler. I'm too busy and I play too many other instruments. By most people's standards on here, I doubt that I mearsure up to even mediocre. But, if I enjoy playing why quit? I love this instrument a lot more than I care about the prospects of becoming good at it.

I can't imagine a world without music. I think you should sleep on this one. By the looks of your equipment you must love the instrument. Just sit down and enjoy the simple pleasure of playing what you can play.

The only saving grace to my getting out of the game some 18 years ago (and regretting it for the next 15 or so!) was an LDG to replace the MSA Semi-Classic when I got back in last year.

Do as Larry says and the old prospectors knew: keep a small bit of the old sourdough for the next loaf!

Huey,
It's not about how good you get over the years....It's more about how good it makes you feel to create music ....There will ALWAY'S be better players than you, and there will ALWAYS be worse players than you !!.....It's a lot like life ....Some folks will have more money than you , and some will have less ....Some will have a faster car than you , and some a slower car ... That's what life is all about .... If you have your health and your family, the rest is small potatoes !....Don't fret the small stuff.....Don't worry, be happy !!..... Good Luck whatever you decide to do .....Sincerely, Jim
