Posting this for a friend. This is a single neck 10 string built around 1970 and is being sold by its original and only owner. Comes with a Blanton rack mount volume pedal. Asking $900. or best offer. If interested, e-mail me and I will pass it on to the seller.

WOW ....what a warming blast from the past!

I would DEEPLY appreciate contacts anyone might have for my first guitar-tech Guru Jerry Blanton. About 4 years ago my computer crashed right after Jerry moved (to the Castroville area if I remember correctly) ...and I lost his contacts. Any help will be deeply appreciated.

Jerry was one heckuv mentor and inspiration to MANY Musicians and guitar techs in San Antone and central Texas (and a few worldwide) in the 1960's. Jerry was an incredibly knowlegeable, talented and innovative pioneer of custom and boutique Steels and Guitars, ...and clearly foresaw the value and present market for vintage guitars way back when the very best could be bought for well under $1000! Jerry mentored and inspired Kurt Linhof to open one of the first boutique guitar shops in Houston in the late 1960's, who went on to become one of the foremost expert Guitar brokers.

Aloha,
DT~

If you have never played a Blanton you don't know what you are missing. I have never played a guitar I have liked so well. (Thanks Al for selling me my "new" one)
Yeah Denny, Jerry is one of the most likeable, helpful, and friendly guys I have met.

No Chris, this one is being offered for sale by its only owner, who I might add has not returned my phone messages requesting pictures for the forumites who expressed interest in this guitar. If and when he retyrns my call, I will get pics to all concerned.
Thanks, Al

Evening Al.
If you see or talk to Jerry tell him hello for me. I bought the green goose from him,
He will who I am if you tell him that.
It's been a while sence I talk to him.
The green goose was his personal guitar.
Thank's to you. Charlie.

Do they still make Blanton steel guitars? I've heard about them for years, but have never gotten to play one.
