Ok, fellow Men of Steel... here's one for ya... a 1954 Gibson BR-9 lap steel guitar with original case. The original owner bought it new in 1954. Shortly after that, he was in an automobile accident, and was left unable to play. I got this guitar from him on a recording session where his daughters were the artists. It looked ok, but it was a bit rough. My brother in law works at Gibson in the Custom Shop here in Nashville, and I sent it to work with him. They took it apart, and completely cleaned and refurbished it, keeping all the original parts on it. As such, it is like a brand new 1954 lap steel. It sounds wonderful, and would be ideal for someone that plays that style of steel guitar. Twisting the tone pot while you play, you can sound exactly like ol’ Speedy West. You won’t be disappointed with this instrument at all! I'd like to get in the neighborhood of $350 for it, shipped. I can e-mail pics.

Thanks, Mikey D...

Hey Mike, wonder if that's like the 7 string Gibson I had many years ago? Why don't you call me some time?
