James,
I would trade, but then neither of us would be able to play unless you are amidex.....use either hand. The subject of this Marlen will pop up again in the future.
Good luck on your Bud search Bud.
Lefty,

If I could afford it, I'd have already bought this thing, if for no other reason than to teach James a lesson!

Seriously, for $2000 or "will entertain reasonable offers", how is this not yet sold???

Duncan; yes I stand by my statement to you. Actually your now Speedy West Marlen and the Marlen James Morehead has and my LDG; are the 3 best steels I've ever heard and my opinion is there is not a steel that can touch the tone of those three.

I am grateful beyond belief that the winds of fate put one in my lap. Sell it at your own peril my friend. I recently sold a ZB that I wish I hadn't. The Sho~Bud you get may not have the sustain you have. But, you gotta chase the sound in your head.
Best wishes in all things.
Duncan

Thankyou my friends!! I know all of you mean well, but I really wish to sell my Marlen. I'm do not intend to offend anyone. I have other goals in my steel guitar adventure that I want to achieve. The Marlen is no longer part of that equation.
Please limit your comments to questions about the guitar, shipping and soforth. If you are truley interested in owning this fine piece of art, please make a post, or e-mail me. Again, thankyou my friends!!

Hey folks out there in steelie land. If you don't buy this from James while he is in this remarkable state of insanity you will be missing out on the deal of the century. I tried the "just one more" routine on my wife so I could buy it. Her response was "don't you already have one?" Women...they just don't get it.

Please close this thread. Donation on it's way. I would like to thank EVERYONE who replied to my topic, and be assured, the Marlen is going to someone who dearly cherrishes this fine work of art, and will play it and they will be a fine caretaker of one of the best vintage steel guitars you can find. Congratulations!! Win/Win
