| Is there a program for writing tab?Im new with the computer so it would have to be as user friendly as possible.If anybody can help I would appreciate it.Thanks. Larry |

Larry, Ron Turners Click Tab has saved me hours and allowed me to keep a library of my steel music on my computer for reference at any time.
It takes a little getting used to but after the initial stages it is really a fun and QUICK way to make tab.
The software allows you to save your tab in graphic .bmp files. I recently acquired independant software that allows me to convert to .gif and also .jpg which is an added bonus.
In addition to Rebel and Ricky's site referenced by Graham above if you go to Ron's Web Site there are four (4) samples of my tab together with wav files that he also put up for all and anybody interested.
There are 3 six string E6 tunes and an arrangement by Doug Beaumier and myself that I played on the Leavitt tuning. It is an extended MP3 file of "Someone to Watch Over Me"
In closing Ron offers excellent support for his software. You should email him directly for more information. Click Tab is very deserving of consideration.

Roy - Can ClikTab do any annotation with different characters/symbols to indicate slurs, slides, quick pedal squeezes, grace notes, etc? Thanks.

Steve the "Slide" symbols are there. Other
graphics are possible if you want to spend some time at being creative. There is lots of room for that.
Ron is updating all the time. The program is a labour of love with him and he has initiated many improvements over the four years I have had Click Tab.

Roy -
What does 'being creative' involve? Can you, say, reduce fonts to very small for grace notes? I'm not sure what sorts of things you're talking about having to do to be able to add different types of symbols & characters, etc.

All the symbols on your key board will
work ie ( ) < > + * etc. The letters
for your pedals, knee levers ....
You can even type the words in to the song
under your tab that could help others and yourself with the timing the timing factor.

of this thread. There are samples of my
tab there for Four songs and the relative sound wavs which should give you a good idea of how I am using this software.
