I have:
Eb to E (2nd string) LKR
F# to G# ( E9 1st string) Pedal 4
I know a few licks using these changes, but I'm always looking for more. Anybody have any?

Hey, HH,
If you know some licks for those changes... could you share 'em? I recently added those changes to my guitar and have promptly done just about nothing with them - love to see what you do with them, unless it's too much trouble.

Hey HH
There are a couple of songs to listen to and learn that use those changes. One would be Mark Chesnutt's "Numbers On The Jukebox" on his Thank God for Believers album. Another good one is Vince Gill's "Theres not much Love Here Anymore" on the Key album. These are two good songs to give you an idea what you can do with the changes. Dean, Maybe I shouldn't have said I know a few licks with them. All I've been doing with them is fooling around playing some melodies
with them. I been kinda wanting to cut a steel instrumental of a Beatles tune and I've been experimenting with using the 4th pedal in the melody.
RWilson, are these CD's really worth the price? Can you hear the licks clearly? I wonder if the individual tunes with the licks can be bought and downloaded from one of those MP3 sites? I haven't tried that yet.

HH,
Nice to see you used the word bought.
I find some steelers on this forum want something for nothing.
They think it is a one way street.
I write for the PSGA Newsletter so that's where I contribute my work and do not expect anything
from it.
When I learn how to submit tab on the forum I will be glad to do so.
Enough said about that.

| HH, I have one of Junior Knight's Carters and he has the pull on LRK but pulls both Eb to E and F# to G# on the same knee. It works real good and as you may have found out, gets a lot of good sounds with it,It's a natural for an ending. you string the first two strings, hit the knee lever. what we just did was go from Dom7 to tonic,From B7 to Emajor. Very nice!..al D10 Carter 8/8 crate amp. |
