Moving my Pedal steel a Short distance
Can anyone recommend a steel cart to move my pedal Steel a short distance while traveling to do a job once a week ? don't want to dismantle it for only a 3 mile drive.
Thank you.

Re: Moving my Pedal steel a Short distance
This was my solution, When I have to only drive a few miles to practice or gig.
It sure beat tearing the guitar down, And setting it up for every practice and gig.
At present I have a load lock bar set in the back of my Rav 4 with padding, A couple Bungie chords holds the guitar secure. This was a MSA S10 I gigged for years. A GFI 12 now has a padded cover. The cover has about 3/4' of padding covering the body.

If your vehicle allows, put it upside down in the case. I did this for years in my van and still do in the back of my SUV.

It takes me two minutes to take my Excel down and three to put it up.

MemphisSlim’s suggestion is what I did a few times when we were playing all the time and sometimes 2-3 places in a day. I just put it upside down, assembled, in the open case that sat in the back of my truck. I didn’t….and wouldn’t….make it a habit but it worked out ok back then.

I built this for a friend of mine th had a mini van and loaded the guitar behind the back seat. He had nylon straps with steel rings sewed to his cover and straped down.
