Al Perkins is who you here on Torn and Frayed, and Ronnie Wood is not very good on pedal steel guitar. Just my two cents. -JD

..and I'd love to have that tab too !!

I saw them in concert a year and a half ago- Ronnie played a better steel than Keith did 6-string! :whoa: :D

James,- I'm basing my opinion on a couple of YOU TUBE songs I saw him on.Plus,I'm a big Mick Taylor fan and the Ronnie doesn't really impress me.-JD

His coat is torn and frayed--
he's seen much better days--
just so long as the guitar plays--

Wanted to resurrect this very old tab request with some good news!

Been listening to the Stones Exile on Main Street lately and have always loved Al Perkins playing on Torn and Frayed and wanted to learn the solo. I didn't find the tab, BUT I did find several helpful youtube vids that have popped up since this old thread was last updated ;-)

This is the one I found the best...

Hear my latest album, "Celestial" featuring a combination of Mullen SD12 and Synthesizers:

Hear my album, "Armistice" featuring Fender 400 on every song:

Hear my Pedal Steel Only playlist featuring Mullen G2 SD12 on covers like Candyman, Wild Horses, Across the Universe & more...

Slide

Post by Jerry Horch »

Ron Wood with Small Faces /The Faces /Rod Stewart playing slide guitar ,he’s really good. I Saw Rod Stewart and the Faces around 1970 or so…they killed it…in those days when the lights came up you could rush right up to the stage, like I always did. It was a party led by Rod and the boys, they were drinking out of bottles of Blue Nun wine and jamming a lot..probably a little organic material as well… it ranks up there with some of the best concerts I’ve seen.. Slide is his strength…. Gasoline Alley album is a good example. Saw Allman Brothers with Dwayne too.Just killer..thought they would never quit ..The good ol days….
