Vic Flick passed away

Post by Marco Schouten »

I read on the news that guitarist Vic Flick passed away. He played on many records, for Tom Jones, The Beatles and many others, but he is probably best known for his James Bond melody.

Sad to hear. I met him at a lecture series he did at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs NY. Very interesting career and a fascinating talk. He and a few of us went out for a beer afterwards since I knew the prof who organized the lecture.

What a resume! Rip. As much as I like guitar players such as Gallagher or Alvin Lee, I'm also fond of people like him or the Herman's Hermits's guitarist.

Joachim - Ironically, Vic Flick did most of the lead parts on the Hermits records.
