Selling for a friend. This guitar belonged to the sellers brother who passed away right after he bought it. Naturally she wants to get what it's worth. If you're interested, make an offer, and I'll pass it on to her. I only have two photos. I'll post them later when I figure out how to do that. Thanks, Tommy.....

I don't think this is a LeGrande. Maybe a short keyhead. It doesn't have a LeGrande decal on the front apron. I'm going to try to go to her house this Saturday to take more, and better photos of the guitar, so I can post them here on the Forum to try to sell it for her. Thanks, Tommy.....

Wondering what the color is? Is $3000 out of the range? Thanks

It's Black. Wait till I get some photos to post on here, and we will know a lot more about it. I don't know what she will end up selling it for, but we think it should be worth more than $3000. Thanks, Tommy..... |

That serial number is not an Emmons number.
This should be three digits and an L
I believe the short keyhead guitars were 1983-84 and not many were built. |

What I thought was the serial number, is stamped into the bottom edge of the end plate on the changer end. Thanks, Tommy..... |

Looks like a social security number to me.... _________________ Bowman SD10 push pull 3x5, Modified Hudson PedalBro, Sarno Tonic preamp, Evans FET 500. with Altec 418B, Standel Custom 15, '67 Showman with D-130F in cabinet, Ganz Straight Ahead, custom Wolfe 6 string dobro, '52 Gibson Century 6. |

Lee: I think you might be right about that being a social security number. Thanks, Tommy..... |

Check the end piece at the key stock end. You may find it there.
I have an Emmons and my serial number is under the end piece at Keystone end. That other sounds like a replacement part number.

My gig guitar is a black SKH and I love it. My practice guitar is a lacquer SKH and I love it as well. That is a fair price.
Neither of mine say Legrande on them. And the black one doesn't even have the Emmons sticker on the pedal bar. _________________ "You call that thing a guitar?" |

I have just sold one of these for $4k (8+4). It's a little later than this one (mine had the later changer/tailpiece).
The one I've just sold - it's also black - is a wonderful-sounding steel! I only parted with it as it was rarely played; I'd always play my 8+9 Emmons. Every so-often, though, I'd enjoy going back to that simple setup, just to hear that tone!!
This is a deal at $3500. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!

It doesn’t need the LEGRANDE sticker on the front to be a Legitimate Lagrande
I have 2 Skh’s and to me I would take one of theses over a push pull anytime!
Just my opinion! |

In truth, more and better quality photo's would help the sale of this guitar. Just saying. |
