Ron
I think this Ron is a minister/musician from Branson area. He and his wife sing duets.manny escobar wrote:Is Ron Erickson from R.I.? If it is him, He was a great Spanish guitar player, who I had the honor of playing steel with.

I want to post heartfelt thanks to Charlie and Rosemary Steichen, Mike Squires, and all the wonderful folks at Praise & Worship Lutheran Church for their efforts in organizing and and producing the 2024 OzSGA show. Super player lineup provided some GREAT steel guitar music. I thank Russ Burns, Buddy Lewis, and Jeff Culver for an awesome job helping me on my set. I am so thankful that our club has found a wonderful venue at Praise & Worship Lutheran Church, and I am proud to be a small part of an effort to help them raise money to further the Gospel message.

Hi Ozark Steel Guitar Association,
I second everything Mike McGee said. Thanks to Charlie, Rosemary Steichen, Mike Squires and all the folks at the "Praise and Worship Lutheran Church. It was a great show, place to have the show and great talent.
It had been about 4 or 5 years since I was able to attend and perform at this show. There's not many Steel Guitar Shows left in our area. I hosted 22 Steel Guitar Shows from 2006 thru 2023. Five years we did a regular Steel Guitar Show and only in 2020 when that old Covid shut everything down, did we not have a show. This year 2024 we didn't host a show either. As most know I recently got remarried to my beautiful wife Jolene. She is new to Steel Guitar but is really supportive and likes it.
I am also playing a lot of music. I work with three different bands, off and on. We are all over Missouri, Kansas, Louisiana and elsewhere. After 32 years total, I finally hung-up teaching in October 2023. Love kids but everything has changed so much, not for this old warhorse anymore. Lol
It was great to see and hear all my old pals playing Steel Guitar. Next April 2025, it marks 50 years of Pedal Steel Guitar playing for me. I played guitar, banjo and lap steel before that.
It's great to see the younger guys like Austin Stewart and Jacob King playing Steel Guitars. The Phillips Kid in Texas is great too. I loved watching Little Ronnie Kyne playing, following his dad's footsteps and lip singing words to all those older Classic Country songs. I won't be surprised if he becomes a great singer too.
Thanks Again and Cudos to Y'all! Love Y'all!

Jean and I had a wonderful time listening to great steel guitar music and visiting with friends. The Church is a awesome place to enjoy music and some tasty food prepared by the Praise and Worship Church members. I hope this show becomes a yearly event. Thanks to Charlie and Mike for putting this together and to the band for the excitement support. And a special thanks to the Praise and Worship Church for providing a gathering facility for the show. And lastly to all the players for sharing their talent and time.
