I just wanted to let everyone know, my steel and I survived Hurricane Helene. Before it came to South Carolina, I unplugged the steel, in case of power outages, so after the power comes back on, I will be playing steel again. My best steel, built in 2010 by the Jackson Steel Guitar Company is my best and favorite steel I've played, now and always

Water came up over the pedals on my Jackson, but it survived. I moved my old Permanents (in their cases) upstairs in my house and they didn't get wet. Tough storm--glad you made it OK!

We had major property damage around our place (our house is basically fine, but a lot of neighbors weren't so lucky), but there were no injuries or fatalities near me. We were very lucky. Still no electricity water or cell service--we got out as soon as the river let us and are moving in with our son in Richmond VA for however long it takes. The state has inbound roads to our place closed, so we couldn't go home if we wanted to. That's a good thing though, the emergency crews are working their tails off and don't need people getting in their way.
