Need Some Stringmaster 8 Bridge Covers

Post by Tony Oresteen »

I posted a note in the Wanted To Buy (WTB) area but since not everyone strolls through there I thought I ask here.

I am trying to finish up my Stringmaster 8 projects and I am need in bridge covers (also known as "ash trays").

I need one bridge cover for the first 8 string Stringmaster version of 1953 i.e. 26.0" long scale Mark I.

I need a number of bridge covers for the Mark II 8 string versions with short scale (22.5") or medium scale (24.5").

If you have a cover in a drawer that is not being used I'd like to "rescue" it and put it to good use getting a Stringmaster up to snuff again :) !

Any leads are most welcomed. Thanks!

I wish somebody would make a reproduction of these. I need a few, too

IIRC Someone did back in the 2000s. Anyone recall his name?

I bought a couple of Leon's bridge covers back in the day and they were excellent but I beleive they sold out pretty quick.
