Crafters TTT -- No Soundwell!

Post by Alan Kirk »

I've just discovered that my Crafters Tut Taylor,l Tennessee does not have a parallelogram sound well, as advertised. It has no sound well at all!

How might this affect the sound?

Very strange. I didn't know such a creature existed. Does it look like someone modded it?

Assuming it's structurally stable some would probably prefer the sound of no soundwell.

Maybe it's just me but the lip on the cone shelf on the TTT looks larger than my Virginian. Here's the inside of my Virginian:

This might be incorrect, but I thought that open soundwell construction usually used a number of sound posts for structural integrity.
