Universal Audio has a Digital Audio Workstation, DAW, available for both Windows and Macintosh platforms.

Audacity has one glaring deficiency that prevents the program from DAW consideration, it doesn't work with midi files. Many midi files exist and importing a midi song file into a song project can give you a big head start. Because midi is data, song characteristics like key signature, transposing and tempo are easier to manipulate in a midi file than audio. _________________ Remembering Harold Fogle (1945-1999) Pedal Steel Player
