Does all '67 yr Emmons; have the LKL between 3 and 4 pedals. And the LKR; is between 8th and the changer?
For all I have seen, on other Emmons, is this way! LKL is between 2nd and 3 pedals. And LKR, is between 5 and 6 pedals.

Erv was right. And I will add this: Many changers are bolted to the Body. But, the late Ron Lashley Sr; chose the changer to be bolted on the neck. And it was thought; it got a better tone.
But Ron (all the time getting a better tone) decided to split the end of the neck; on the later SG's. But he bolted the changer; to the wood again. And he said, that was the best, he could get.
But, many Emmons SG players; did not agree with Ron. And that, is why they want the "bolt-on"! Others, say NO! Well, I never heard any difference! No matter, what Buddy, or guitar and/or not! The sounds the same, to me! Even to other Guitars too! Oh well...and Praise Jesus, for a Graceful Better, always...

Best to leave them off, Reason: Stickers leave a sticky residue that can be hard to get off and could ruin the finish on a guitar, unless it’s done with abalone in a Special Order…

Well, those flags ("Dixie") have NOTHING to do; with racists at ALL! That, was just used to get votes; by one of our Governmental Parties!
And I'm not going into Politics atoll here! But the Swastika  ; has NOTHING to do with America! And those flags and Dixie; never had anything to Slaves, neither. So the person who used "Swastika"; needs to apologize; over that Southern Flag on a Steel Guitar's, front Panel.
So, I hope it shuts up "Yesterday"! And be kind to every one. If not loving them. too! And May Jesus' mercy; if we don't be kind Laughing at all times. Amen!

I'm going to respectfully disagree with the previous two posts regarding the history of the symbols discussed. The posts about the symbols' origins, while historically correct (at least in part re: the battle flag), to ignore the modern day usurping of those symbols by the darker elements of our society is to be politically deaf.
If I bought that guitar, the first thing I'd do is remove the Confederate battle flag, lest someone mistakenly think that I hold the beliefs I find most disreputable.

Beautiful guitar , Michael Yahl probably has all the parts needed to install 4-5 correct knee levers … it may be some extra investment , but than you’d have guitar that’ll have the tone nothing out there can beat …

Thanks Jerry.
Clearly this post wasn’t intended to offend anyone. It’s an ad for a guitar that needs some work. I bought it in this condition and in the meantime had a kid. The original post mentions that I’d already started to remove the flag but it will take some time that I don’t have right now. Where it has been removed seems to be clean underneath and is not showing any residue. I tried some Goof Off without any success so I’m not sure what the flag is made of, but it does chip away.
Please keep your opinions to yourself unless you are interested in buying the guitar. |
