I've been having some fun with an MXR phase 95 lately. It's taking me back to the 1970s!

Here are a couple of audio clips:

Great units! I have both a Phase 90 and a Phase 100, and they were my most used EFX boxes. The (older "script") Phase 90 is wonderful and lush, and the Phase 100 Is my favorite for organ-type comps.

Yeah, I had a phase 90 back in the day... a great pedal. For some reason phase went out of style by the 1990s, but it seems to be making a comeback nowadays.

I was floored by the bid I received for my original script Phase 100 when I sold it on eBay 10-15 years ago. I used it a handful of times after I purchased it in the late '70s, and put it back in the box where it remained for a few decades. An eBayers dream -- two or three guys in a bidding war playing a game of chicken. Got enough for it to buy a new Mexi Jazz Bass, gig bag, and a coupla six-packs.

I use the 45 setting (on slow) quite a lot. It adds a quality I like and that more subtle setting is less tedious in the long run.

Did Buddy Emmons use a Phase 90 back in the day?
