Mike you've worked on at least two of my twelve strings, including a double-twelve Willie and my current mongrel with the cannibalized end plate. I have absolutely ZERO reason to buy this one... but when has that ever stopped anyone? What a beauty.

Good luck with this sale. Any Forumites who don't already know: Mike's a stellar guy with deep knowledge and skills with everything steel guitar. (And I'll be calling you next week to have you work on a friend's student pedal steel.)

Thanks Johnny and Kevin for the kind words. I will be looking for your call next week Kevin. I like working on student guitars, it’s enjoyable getting them set up to work properly again.

I would love this steel, with a few added rods. Alas, I'm full up on 12 string steels.

Yes I agree with the rest of the other guys here, beautiful Fessenden U12, does it have 7 pedals or 6?

These Fessenden guitars have killer tone, I have a double 10 it's sound is to die for, wish Jerry was still building them.

Steven, There are 6 pedals, and it is setup as an Extended E9th 12 string. There is an open slot in the zero position to easily add a pedal if needed to convert back to a U-12.

I wanted to point out that the changer tailpiece has been drilled and tapped for splits, on strings 2, 5, 6, and 9. This enables splits on strings 5 and 6 , and is used to set a nice accurate half stop on string 2, with string 9 being lowered to C#, and provides half stop feel for string 2 as well.

How about $2450 pickup only price?

Drive to beautiful Kent, Ohio this Friday (04/26), pick this guitar up, and come check out 27 live bands at the 6th Annual Kent Roots & Country Music Fest.

What could be better than that, should be 73 degrees and sunny. 😎

Count me among those tempted to come over to Kent to snag this Fessy AND see Shooter Sharp and the Shootouts tonight. Alas, the bride has other plans. Here's a snippet of those great guys and gal, with Al Moss working that pedal steel:
