I just got booked to play a 4/20 gig at a new vintage guitar store, and they have a Console Grande D8 in somewhat “worn” condition. I’m going to ask if they’ll let me change the strings and play on that rather than my Stringmaster. Anything I should know about or be looking for as I make this Gibson performance ready? _________________ Santo Fan Club - from the island of Coney to the sands of Rockaway

These are 481's, used on Console Grande and Electroharp around '40-42, If anyone needs them, PM me and you can have them for free.

Gibson also used the brown 481 knobs on their postwar Kalamazoo KEHs, and ivory 481s on all but the very first BR-9s.
