Six-Nine Design, builder of Sierra Steel Guitars is happy to announce a new Steel Guitar work stand. Available for shipping now.

High quality plywood has gotten out of sight price wise so I've designed this version to use far less than the original Steel Guitar Forum version, I used to make.

This new version has the same adjustment range of the original. There's a few extra holes in the base parts to hold hex keys, screwdrivers and such.

Price is $125 with USPS ground shipping included to the lower 48. Alaska, Hawaii and outside the US will cost a bit more. $5.00 of each sale will go to the forum.

If you'd like to order one, please email or PM me. Be sure to include you email addy so I can send a paypal invoice and of course your shipping address so I can ship it to you.

Back when these were first introduced by b0b, I dismissed them saying: "I wouldn't dream of meddling underneath my guitar; why would I need one?'

Things have certainly changed! Miles from any 'techie', I've been obliged to 'meddle'.

I am delighted to see Ross' announcement; fingers-crossed that I'm in the first outgoing shipment. Smile It'll be a boon to be able to pluck a string and test a pull without tipping the steel to one side, precariously gripping a leg with one hand!

Mine just arrived and, after 5 or 10 minutes of assembly, it's just what I need. Very Happy

Anybody who works on their steels, either in the case or on a towel on the table -- the ability to reach under the guitar on a cradle such as this and pick a string is a game changer.

"I'll just make this adjustment and then I'll pick up the guitar and flip it over and set it on its feet and I'll see if the adjustment is right....."

As Bill Monroe said, "that ain't no part of nothin' "

It's been a towel-on-the-table for me. Lifting the D10 that extra few inches into its case would be a 'bridge too far' for this cowboy.

I have been allocated a bath-towel that's now blemished with oily marks. I say it's to protect my Emmons; Susie insists its for the well-being of the dining room table.

As the workbench is coming from CA to FL, I don't think mine arrives until the 27th! Bad news - Smile - my 'new' Zum Universal gets here tomorrow. That bench will be pressed into service immediately!

here's a "blown up" diagram of the stand. This should help with any questions regarding assembly. I've printed a bunch of them out and will include one with each stand.

This is frustrating!

UPS say it's been delivered but it hasn't - or not to us, anyway.

Sad

I got to say this is the best tool on the market. Small light adjustable and very well thought out. sit right on my computer desk, flip up ans set the guitar right down on it, perfect height, access to the strings, keyhead and back of the changer. It has paid itself off. Glad I bought one.
