New! Lemon Drop (JC) Lap Steel with shorter scale length. I took the suggestion of several members here on the Steel Guitar Forum and made this lap steel with shorter scale length. This has a scale length of 23 1/4" and that made room for more frets, so now there is more than two octaves. Also I've tuned this to C6th. It's got a set of GHS c6th purchased from the steel guitar forum store, Gotoh tuning machines, humbucker pickup, volume, tone, capacitor . The body is made of Poplar, les Paul style bridge and stop piece.
I'd like 350 for it, split the shipping.
Any questions you have feel free to message me, thanks for looking!

If you'd like a nice new Gretsch gig bag to carry your lap steel in, just add $30 (cost to me) and I'll ship it to you in the bag, shipped in a padded cardboard box. These bags have backpack straps. Nice way to carry and store your new investment.

JC Custom Electric Guitars- Lemon Drop Lap Steel. Amazing sound. If you've dabbled in playing bottle neck slide on your guitar you will have a blast playing one of these! The action is set up high, you wont be knocking on the metal frets of your guitar. This lap steel is made of Poplar, the fret board has a scale of 23 1/4. The tuning machines are Gotoh (excellent), humbucker pickup, volume tone, Les Paul style tailpiece. It comes tuned up to C6th, which they tell me is the most common tuning for instructional material, but this can be tuned to any of your favorite tunings.
C6th gives you a Hawaiian/western swing sound. Challenging at first, but then so fun when you get a hang of it.
These are hand made, one at a time, by John Christian in a shop in Spicewood Texas, USA.
If you're in the market for a lap steel; and I assume you are since you are looking at lap steels for sale, I hope you'll choose this one, you wont regret it.
