Topic: Peavey N-112 Headphone Problem? |

Hey y’all!
New mom trying to practice as much as I can while baby sleeps. Does anyone have any recommendations for how to get headphones to work with the Peavey Nashville 112 amp? I have a pair of AKG Pro Audio K240 phones plugged into the Headphone output on the back of the amp, but I’m not getting any volume in them? Volume pedal is in the low gain input. The sound is muted out of the speaker when the headphones are plugged in, but I’m not getting much in the headphones.
Any advice is appreciated! Thank you. |

Remove the amp from the cabinet and clean the Jack with Deoxit. You can clean all the pots with the Deoxit as well while you have the amp out.

I had the same problem with a Katana amp.
Your amp's headphone jack may require a mono plug.
(Nashville 112 owners can chime in on this question.)
If so, stereo headphones will probably not work.
Stereo-to-mono headphone adaptors can be found online. |

My stereo Sennheiser headphones work perfectly with my NV112. Probably time to take it to a tech.

What happens if you turn it up more? Some headphones require a much stronger signal than others, and some headphone amps are lower output and need to be turned up to compensate.
If you don't have the gains set this high already, maybe try using the High Gain input, the Pre Gain at 5, and then carefully turn the Master Gain up as high as 5 to see if that at least improves things.
In my experience, headphones break far more often than Peaveys do, so I would troubleshoot by first verifying that they are working correctly (including the 1/8" to 1/4" adapter) before suspecting the amp... not to say the amp can't break but statistically I've seen way more broken headphones in my life than broken Peaveys
