Roland PreAmp/Effects Processor… Single space Rackmount Unit.
Probably would work best with a MIDI controller to change each Effect patch.
The “Number/Value” rotary effect control does not work all that good. It will change patches but not always in numeric order.

Alot of great Tones and Effect possibilities.

$150.00 Shipped.!

Thanks for all the inquiries.!

Thanks for looking

These are amongst the best & most versatile preamp/effects units ever produced and have endless combinations of amp simulators, quality effects, and speaker cabinet simulators. The tone is fabulous and they’re very user friendly. I believe Bruce Bouton and a few other pro players used the GP-100 as part of their live rigs in years past.

Although I didn’t have any problems with the units I had, the issue of the parameter knob jumping programs was a common issue in some of these units. But I believe there was a simple inexpensive pot change that was available that remedied the issue. Our friend Jerry Overstreet did a couple of units and can elaborate more than I. Here’s a previous discussion about it with the link for the pot to change.

Hey David,

Thank you for the awesome info, hopefully that will help… and yes the possibilities are endless.

I’m still using the one I got from you.! I just don’t have a need for this other one at the moment, and trying to clear out some gear.

Yes, well....what Dave said. Great unit. These sold for around $1200 back in the day. One of the first modeling units out there.

FWIW, the encoders mentioned in Dave's reply are no longer available from Mouser, but can still be found at eBay from offshore suppliers.

I would not let that issue stop me from picking up this unit, especially at the posted price, as the features are many. I still have mine in use almost daily.

I have several of the GP-100 units. If you don't want to use the preamp, you can shut it off and just use the effects. The reverbs, delays, chorus, etc. are among the best I have heard.

You bet Len,
Our guitar player used one for a long time, and that’s what he did,
Marshall preamp and just the effects from his Roland GP-100, Awesome Sound.

The effect's in the Roland are still some of best out there.!
