A Sho-Bud “The Professional” - model 6153-K, serial #3809 circa August 1973 has been donated to the Southwestern Steel Guitar Association. It is a D-10 model with 8 pedals & 3 knee levers in the Jimmy Day configuration with a rack & barrel changer as was typical of that era.

This guitar has a beautiful lacquered cabinet and is close to collectors’ grade condition. Its case is nearly immaculate. This Sho-Bud closet queen does not appear to have been played out or been kept in a smokey environment.

Our asking price is $2500 with the proceeds going to support the SWSGA. This guitar will be shown & available at the SWSGA Show in Mesa, AZ on January 19 & 20. Purchaser will need to take this guitar with them following the show or make arrangements to ship it on their own.

Gaetan,

My curiosity is peaked: how many pedal steels are you buying? In the last few days you have made offers on a sho-bud, an Excel, an Emmons, A mullen, a Fesseden, a Pedalmaster,

You setting up a shop?

I'm not familiar with "The Professional" model. Is this a single neck? Does it have triple raise or double?

Raybob; Sam in first post has pic and said:

That is single/single best sounding Changer Shobud ever made; and you can raise or lower as many times you want depending on how many barrels down the rod per finger.
