Topic: Justice Nylon Nut Size? |

One of my nylon nuts for my new-to-me Justice Pro-lite needs replacing. Does anyone know what size thread they use? I'm probably going to pick up a couple bits from psgparts when I crack this code...

There is 3 measurements you need to properly fit a tuning nut.
If a standard tuning nut, 3/16" hex is a given.
1. Length of tuning nut.
2. Depth of hole
3. Diameter of rod.
A good accurate Dial Caliper is a very handy tool, When working on a pedal steel guitar.
Order 2 or 3 spares, Tuning nuts are expendable.

| Nylon tuning nuts are normally self threading. It makes the threads when you screw them on. However if the hole is too small I have drilled them out with numbered bits a little at a time until you get the desired fit. And the hole shouldn’t be to big or your out of luck. Also you can cut them shorter if you have too. Just put the uncut end toward the changer finger, it tends to straighter than most of my cuts.😁 |
