My wife heard this song in a movie and asked if I’d do it. I had to call in The Rick Campbell Trio for the vocals. This was a big hit for Conway Twitty. Used MIDI, BIAB. The Steel, Bass, and lead guitar all recorded direct. Fiddle, vocal, rhythm guitar recorded with mic through UA LA-610 Mk II. All recorded in Presonus Studio One DAW. Video editing is Movavi Video Editor +.

Thank you. I do the harmonies myself. This one was really hard because Conway's record had Carol Lee Cooper and L.E. White singing the harmony vocals. It was hard for a guy to do the high register vocals that a lady does. Conway did it in "A". I did it in "G" to allow some room to get the tenor part. It was about all I could do to get it. I've seen some harmonizer software, but I haven't run across one that I could be comfortable with. Melodyne is good if you need to fix a note here and there that's a little sharp or flat. I use every tool I can to make them as good as possible. I'm not looking to win any Grammy's, it just a way to do the music I enjoy, and the challenge of doing it all myself. Glad you enjoyed it.
I've been messing around with home studio recording for years, but the video editing is something new. It's really fun and I'm learning as I go.
