I have listened to this band on Spotify. I can't recall who played steel. It sounds very good, thick and lush. I'm half guessing they rotated band members as all the tracks don't sound like the same person. _________________ Steve Marinak |

Looks like it varied, judging by album text on discogs. Sounds like the group was based on the west coast and featured lots of notable players. Aloha Hawaii had Lani Sang on steel (and featured Sam Koki...but I'm not sure on steel or not?). But I think Bob Nichols was probably the most common steel guitarist if I understand correctly. I think it was he who played behind Bing Crosby on Sweet Leilani. Freddie Tavares was also a player...I guess between his work designing the most iconic guitars ever over at Fender! _________________ Waikīkī, at night when the shadows are falling
