This reminded me that I produced a recording of Bobbe Seymour, Zane King, and Buddy playing the theme song from "Gilligan's Island".
I Iost the session tape. It was on a 1/4" tape, 16 track machine.
I recorded Zane at his studio in Bald Knob, AR, and Bobbe and Buddy recorded at Bobbe's studio.
I didn't ever work up my solo for recording.

Those 1960s TV themes made good instrumentals: Green Acres, Bonanza, The Munsters Theme, etc. I grew up hearing those tunes. By the 70s I wasn't watching much TV, too busy with other things.

Some trivia…

When I looked at the sheet music (posted by Cartwright Thompson), I saw that the music to the Andy Griffith Show theme was written by Earle Hagen. I knew I’d seen that name a few times before, and it turns out that he also wrote the music for the Dick Van Dyke show, The Mod Squad, and That Girl. In addition, he wrote the music for some very well-known standards, namely: Harlem Nocturn, Green Eyes, Hawaiian War Chant, Song of India, and I’m Gettin’ Sentimental Over You. :D
