I'm not sure if they've been mentioned on here before, but if you like surf music and lap steel you should check these guys out. The album "Jungle of Steel" is fantastic!

Yeah,love this stuff, along with the Tikiyaki Orchestra and several others.

I think Exotica music is appreciated differently today compared to that era. If you look at the material on many of the old LPs, they have some really corny arrangements in between the jungle - lost city - flying saucer music. You are probably not going to hear Sentimental Journey from the Tikiyaki Orchestra. At least, I hope not.
