| I would like to purchase an Accutronics reverb tank for my Peavey LTD amp. I think the model needed is: 4EB2C1B ? I sent my amp to Peavy for work sometime ago and it was returned with a different reverb tank. I hope to get the original replacement? If someone has one or knows of a source, please let me know? Thank you |

| Randall..I have two Accutronics tanks (originals, not the Chinese Knock offs), one is a two spring unit the other a three. If either can be of use to you there will be no charge for the tank merely the actual shipping cost. |

There's a whole lot more to matching a spring tank than how many springs. The specific model number is required, the digits indicating the number of springs and length of decay are in fact the only specs that don't really matter electronically, and putting the wrong impedance device into your amp's reverb circuit connot possibly end well.

Both tanks were removed from Peavey Nashville model amps so I am assuming that they should work.

I agree with Bill. I've been using the MOD tanks instead of the new Accutronics or Belton tanks. The MOD tank has a fuller sound (not as "tinny) and is more lush like a hall reverb and it has better construction of the transformer wire connections. There is another brand that some on this forum has touted as being better than even the MOD tanks. Perhaps someone will chime in on that brand. Replacing the Accutronics tank with the Mod tank of my Steel King was a huge improvement to my ears.

| What Bill and Greg said, I have a new Belkin 'Accutronics' tank that is terrible, completely unusable. I have purchased a couple of MOD tanks, the first ti replace a broken vintage Accutronics unit and it sounded so good I bought another like it to replace the perfectly fine old Accutronics tank in my working amp. |

Well, that's a 2 spring tank.
The site lists the 3 spring model 9EB2C1B for the NV112. That's the one I used in my Nashville 400. I like it a lot.
They have the same dimensions and electrical values. Just a different number of springs. |
