I am thinking about swapping all the original parts from my poorly refinished 24.5 in scale Stringmaster D8 to a 22.5 in scale body (I prefer this scale length). The 24.5 in guitar looks to be late 50's and the 22.5 in body from the 60's. Will this require modification of the target body, or pose other challenges?
Also, is there a difference in the body of a Stringmaster D8 compared to a D6?

Everything's the same but the fretboard. They're not interchangeable due to the different scale lengths.

Yup. The early 26" long scale guitars are a different story though. Nothing but the diamonds and maybe the nut and jack are interchangeable with the 24.5" and 22.5" guitars.
