Here’s a one take version of David Lindley’s “Look So Good”.

Please excuse any sloppiness or misremembered parts. I haven’t played it in years, and started crying halfway through. He meant so much to me.

I once got to play this for him in the dressing room of the Tin Angel, on his Weissenborn. He listened intently, then put on a pissed-off face and in his best Jimmy Stewart, “Why, you better stop stealing my shit, or I’ll, I’ll KICK YOUR ASS!!”…….then gave me a big hug.

Safe travels, Mr. Dave. 💔

David was one true innovator and a great guy..well done.
Just a memory, I had seen a lot of Rusty Young playing his Melobar. I called Walt Smith and asked if he could make one 8-string in a flying V shape. He made it, sent it with 2 pickups and it was unplayable for me. I sent it back for a single pickup and Walt gave that one to David. Walt called and told me 'David had no trouble at all with the 2 pickups and loved it'. I had kept bottoming out the strings on the neck pickup and couldn't play it, so I don't know how he could ever make that work. Light touch I guess. Bless him and he will live forever on my turntable.
Again, nice tribute.
