Try hitting the F lever and see if that brings it back. _________________ MSA 12 String E9th/B6th Universal.

Hi Ken
Yes both F lever and C pedal bring the string back into tuning, for some reason release of the D lever doesnt bring the e string back in tune, it seems to be catching and not returning fully to he stop? |

Sounds like the "Return Spring" needs tightening.
What pedal steel you have?? got a pic underneath of the changer area?

Rick's, Check the return string, Is a good place to start.
Check the Lower Changer Finger. Be sure it returns to its open tuning stop. (If an All Pull Changer)
No.2 Check the Roller Nut, (If guitar has nut rollers.) Make sure Roller is free rolling with no drag on the sides. A new string wound on at an angle can cause a roller to drag on the supports.)
No.3 Check Knee Lever mounts and bearings for free movement, If the Knee Lever has a Cross Rod in the pull chain, Check the end bearings for free rod rotation.
Last, Problem with dirt or lack of lube in changer itself.
Good Luck finding the problem, And a quick fix. Happy Steelin. |
