I was sitting here listening to Lloyd, and got to thinking about something. Is Lloyd & Pete Drake the two players that solely played a Sho-Bud the majority of their careers?. I know Lloyd played a JCH at some point, but from my understanding he’s played a Sho-Bud most of his life. Is there anyone else?

Not positively sure, but the many times I have seen Dan Dugmore and Ernie Hagar, the were playing Sho-Buds.

| Hal Rugg played a Sho-Bud at some point in his career, especially when he was on the Wilburn Brothers Show-there's a part where Barbara Mandrell sits down at his Sho-Bud and plays "Ridin' The Frets"". Pete Drake also comes to mind. |

| A friend of mine that played for several artists, Phil Koontz, played ShoBuds throughout his career, up until he passed away a few years ago. He played for Moe Bandy back in the late 80’s and 90’s. |

| Gary Morse played Sho Buds for a long time and then started playing Desert Rose pedal steels. I'm not sure what he's been up to lately but he has played for a lot of recording artists, the last I can think of was Brooks and Dunn. He's an excellent pedal steel player and he always has fantastic tone. He also is a very cool Dobro player. In addition to Brooks & Dunn, Gary also plays steel with McBride & The Ride, where he's playing steel behind Terry McBride-lead vocals/bass guitar, Ray Herndon-vocals/ lead guitar, and Billy Thomas-vocals/drums. Before he started touring with Brooks & Dunn, he played steel and dobro with Dierks Bentley. His Sho-Bud is heard on Dierks' second record, "Modern Day Drifter", which was released in '05. |

And here's that Sho-Bud, sitting in my house a few years ago. It was made in 67 or 68, after most people had moved on from the permanent changer design (including him). It has coil taps on both pickups, and sounds amazing. Probably the prettiest guitar I've ever seen in person.

David, here's a photo I took of Lloyd Green in 2000 at Scotty's ISGC. You can see, he was playing his JCH while his Sho~Bud LDG was in repair. Following is a more recent photo I took of Lloyd (2018) playing his usual Sho~Bud LDG.

| There's a man named Carmen Acciaioli who'd played steel with Michael Martin Murphey, and he played and probably still plays a yellow Sho-Bud Super Pro, which is seen in Michael's video, "Long Line Of Love " |
