I'd imagine Paul Franklin Sr. would have an idea - why not try there?

Well, I still have my Franklin and have since 1980; can't really part with it.
I talked with Paul Sr. this past march in Dallas and he said that he has slowed down a little on making the guitar, but he still takes his time on the working of it to make it as good as he always has.
Only big Paul can tell you of the time element; give him a call and he'll tell you the cold hard truth.

I sent a deposit for $1000 u.s.d. in September 04, paid the remaining $3600 in Feb 05, and recived the guitar in early January of 06., so for me it was about 16 months.

A minimum of two years should be close give or take a few months. Mine was just over two years.
