Too much stuff: I play more and more pedal steel these days so this needs a good home!
I keep it in A6 and C6 tuning.
Prefer to deal in the Austin, TX area or if you have an interesting trade for pedal steel stuff I'd be all ears.

31 frets would make it a long scale, so 24-1/2"

Which scale length is more desirable?

What year is this?

Long scale is the 26" Stringmaster.

Medium Scale Stringmaster is 24.5"

Short scale Stringmaster is 22.5"

This is a medium scale Stringmaster. I play a T* medium scale. Great guitar!

Good luck!

Blues & rock players use longer scales. Traditional country & Hawaiian players tend use short scales. It's up to you to pick a scales that fits your style. Slants are easier on short scales.

Yes just what Ian and Tony said; is all True and one thing I'll add; is when a Stringmaster was made from start year '53 to '59; Swamp Ash wood was used and is the most dynamic sounding Stringmaster until early '60s when regular Ash wood was used.
This one here is INDEED Swamp ash and a very nice restoration Stain; that looks awesome and would not affect the great sounds this one has.
