I am in the process of converting my S10 to an S12 and have the changer, neck and all the parts except an S12 keyhead

I need an S12 keyhead for my Carter Guitar. Can someone tell me if any of these options would be compatible:

Mullen
Fessenden

Many thanks

Length of the key head when going from 10 to 12 strings key head could be a problem. It would take a rather compact 12 string head to fit in the 10 string key head space.

GFI has 1 of the shortest 12 string key heads I have had any dealings with. The keys are so close together, If you have large fingers and thumb, Some players have problems with tuning the the guitar.

The bar in the picture is a 3 3/4" 12 string bar for comparison. Would have to get it out of case for exact measurement.

To fit in the space on the body, Some sort of keyless head may have to be considered. A GFI Keyless head is 3 1/2' long.

Same 3 3/4" bar for comparison.
Good Luck in this project.

Hi Bobby, thank you. I actually have an S12 Carter body minus an s12 keyhead. I may have to settle for an s10.

Al Brisco Steel Guitars of Canada might be able to help you.

Good luck
