I’ve accumulated an abundance of these-the Stradivari of dobros over the years. Rudy made over 200 dobros in his life-some hood, some bad, and a few truly great instruments. The truly great ones rarely change hands except upon the death of the owner.

I have for sale a completely original walnut Uncle Josh model dobro from February of 1977 and a mahogany model from 1983 that Gene Wooten won in the Dobro Nut Magazine contest. These guitars are incredibly rare and truly priceless. I would sell to the right player-not a collector or enthusiast.
No trades. If you don’t know Jones dobros do your research or don’t bother me. I wouldn’t take 10 of the popular builders guitars for one of these.

The mahogany guitar pictured is identical to the one Mr Douglas donated to the CM HoF. Serious offers only.

Tab has the best sounding dobro I have ever heard, his old walnut Jones. Truly a great instrument!

That’s quite some toe….bro.

Hey Tab, Cliff Simpson, from your neighborhood of pickers, has moved here to fishtown Idaho. Been picking with him a bit.

Good luck on those RQ’s…..mighty sweet.

I'm guessing based on your sales pitch that in your heart of hearts you really don't want to sell any of these dobros. Smile

Chet atkins used to hear that line a lot. He’d set his guitar on the table and say
“How’s it sound now?”…it’s the hands. You can learn how to pull tone out of any guitar. I’ve been touching that guitar every day since 1977.

$5k.

There aren’t many of these babies around. And I feel selfish keeping them all to myself. That and I’m getting old.
