Wowza Shocked
That's a fine, well equipped steel. Looks like a Telonics pickup as well?

I believe that's a ToneAligner pickup.

I played that guitar a few weeks back and I must say, that is one fine horn folks!

Pedal and lever action is out of this world!

The Telonics pickup is a perfect match! Killer tone!

If I had the cheddar it would be mine!

Thank you John I agree it’s as good as any name brand steel that I’ve ever owned.
Rains pedal steels don’t take a back seat too any
modern brand steel with three over three changer.

Johnie,
I've owned a few Rains guitars.
What makes it a "Hartley" model?
Thanks, Very Happy

The Hartley model was built for David Hartley by Gary Carpenter.
David has millions of views on YouTube playing the Rains steels an other brands..

I have no idea if this Rains steel was played by David Hartley I only know that it has David’s copedent.

Johnie,
It's just the copedent that's different then.

I was interested when the previous owner had it on a different site. It does not have the Hartley copedent as described above. It has standard emmons except for the vertical which raises 4 a whole tone, 4th pedal raises 1 a whole tone and pedal 5 is franklin pedal. Hope this helps.
