Playing along with Chordify, karafun, or band in a box or whatever, what speakers are real good that don't take up tons of space?

My computer died, another is on the way.
Someone recommended Creative Pebble 2.1 speakers).
I am using this at home in the music room, (spare bedroom).

So anybody? What are you using that you find acceptable?
I would like to get a decent set bought this week.
Thanks a bunch for any suggestions.

I don't have them but a friend of mine has this Cyber Acoustic 2+1 speaker set and they have a really nice sound to them. I like that the sub woofer is designed for the floor and the satellite speakers sit on stands and don't take up too much space. At less than $40 the set is not going to break the bank.
