Here are a couple of nice LDG'S, the one on the right is first year model that I serviced for a friend. The one on the left is 1 year newer, and has never been serviced.
This is the one I serviced
This one is all original

Ricky,
It was formerly owned by Lynn Owsley.
I got ahold of it over 20 years ago but sold it years later
It was stock underneath and not polished at all.
I remember 4 knee levers. The usual closer E9th
pedal spacing with the corner tip of one pedal missing.
An old clip

Hey Johnny, here's a mid-sixties perm I acquired. It was complete and original on top but no undercarriage. So jim flynn suggested turning it into an all-pull guitar. so, here it is 3x4 emmons setup. Jim flynn put russler pedals on it ....purdy cool.....also he used the delran or nylon bushings so it plays nice and smooth.you can barely make out on the decal sho-bud...Madison,Tn pics coming

My 1977 LDG. I bought this earlier this year intending to refurbish it but realized that it might be years before it would be playable. In the end I took the guitar to Jeff Surratt at Show Pro and he did a quick refurb, including replacing the changer fingers to aluminum with the string pin. We discussed a refinish but in the end I decided to let her retain all her patina and I'm glad I did. Picked it up last Thursday and it plays and sounds fantastic!

Sho-Bud SD-10 with aluminum neck. Circa 1981-82. It originally had a wooden neck, but I had it upgraded with an OEM aluminum neck. I still miss this guitar. It qualities as "the one that go away." I often wonder where it is today - I sold it to Tom Bradshaw around 1986-87, + or -.

Looking through this old thread I realize I hadn't updated my Sho-Bud ownership. I found this guitar about 20 miles away from me last December and my wife said, "get it, Happy Birthday!" My birthday wasn't until May but I was able to get this one, dated to October 1973. I play it nearly every day, great guitar.
The 77 LDG earlier in the post has been sold to a 16 year old new player with an old soul, he is also a fan of the old Sho-Bud guitars.
