I have an old Supro. It's cosmetically decent, a little crusty. That doesn't bother me.

The pickup is totally broken. The wires going to the coils are gone. What would you do with this? Does anyone rebuild this type of pickup?

Thanks for any info you can share.

If it was mine, I would send it to Jerry Sentell. He's rewound both Gibson racetrack pickups and Ric horseshoe pickups for me, and they've all been excellent. Most likely he can make your Valco string-through pickup as good as new, too.

Tom Brantley has rebuilt pickups that other folks wouldn't touch. He specializes in oddball work.

Rick, nothing to do with the pickup. I see we have the same trouble with our moccasins. Dang laces never stay tied! Mine are double knotted as well. Very Happy

Lollar makes a great replacement for this pickup.

Talk to Jerry Sentell. He’s done similar jobs on Fender steels for me.
