Make/Model: Sierra (Wright Era) D-10 Pedal Steel, quite similar to Vance Terry’s
Year: ~1960s
Serial Number: 00040, made for Sonny Blaylock
Location of Manufacture: USA
Scale Length: 24.5"
String spread: Just shy of 2-11/16"
Finish Color: Natural Maple Formica
Pickup/Control Layout: 1 pickup per neck, each w/ volume knob.
Case: No case, but will be pro packed & shipped.
Features: Double neck 10-string w/ 10 pedals, 2 knee levers.
Condition: This vintage steel is in pretty good shape overall, however up front it must be stated that somewhere between a little to a lot of work will be required to get it back up to speed. The pedals and levers all seem to work as they should and have good response, however some of the wires/cabling which connects them to their adjustable saddles will need some work, as it looks like the previous owner disconnected at least a few of them. Cosmetically it's in pretty good shape overall too: there's some light scuffs & scratches throughout, as you'd expect on any used instrument. A few larger dings, most notably on the far left corner (viewed from the player's position -- see pics), and the tuner on that corner has also been replaced with a gold one. There's some scrapes in the brown coating on the metal frame, allowing bare metal to show through. There's some oxidation on the metal bits throughout, especially on the pedals below and the legs; additionally one of the rubber feet is missing, and the others are a bit worn.

Times like this, I wish I knew how to repair steels and had the tools to do it.

You can't talk about the cables and pulls and not post pics of the undercarriage. Please post for the steel builder geeks.
