I tried one of the SKB modded cases that Sierra used and sold for other brands. I tried it in my D10 Franklin and it was a disaster and returned to Sierra. The Sierra version did not properly pad the inside of the case and caused scratches. The top portion for the pedal bar, pedal rods and legs wasn't any better.

For just local gigs, I'm using a Gator G-PG-49 padded keyboard case for my GFI S-10 with pad (SD10). The padded compartment holds the guitar. The top compartment holds the pedal bar and the rod/leg bag without scratching. The Gator bag is 6lbs and the GFI is 30 lbs, total weight 36 lbs. Better than the 47 lbs for the guitar in the stock GFI case.

As Jack says the Gator G-PG-49 Keyboard bag is a great option I used one on a D-10 Carter and it was great.

I just got thisSKB trap case. It is 36"x12" and is 8" deep. There is room for foam padding and a fold up music stand. It has usable wheels which are a real plus. It is a lot lighter than the average plywood cases that come with steel gutars.
