For Sale. Steel Body Resophonic 6 String Guitar, By Edwin Root.
Hand made by a local Oregon luthier Edwin Root. This has a spanish style Maple neck with Ebony fretboard. Strong and straight.
When I bought it 5 years ago I reversed the tuners and put a raised nut on it to play like a Dobro. Had it tuned to C6th.
Very loud with the biscuit style cone and has good tone.
Has the Pastel Colored Red Abalone Root inlay and Truss Rod Cover as well was Abalone shell side dots.
I never did play it much and set it back up as a standard guitar again.
Easy to change back for dobro style playing.
A forum member asked if I could post more photos so here they are.
He asked about the neck shape and nut width so here is that.
The neck is round and straight. No center ridge like some old guitars had.
Feels just right in my hand.
The nut is 1&13/16" and it's 2&1/4" at the bridge.
I'd like to see it go to someone who will get more use from it.
Selling for $750.00 plus the ride.

The action is set up nice and it has a truss rod, but I never felt the need to adjust it.

Forgot to mention that the neck is curly maple with a polished lacquer finish that has taken on an aged amber look. 
Also the steel body was left with the natural patina that is quite attractive and makes the guitar look older than it is.
For me, I really like the design of the sound holes.

Forgot to mention, The case is a decent hard shell and a good fit for the guitar.
Looks like new. I've never taken it out of the house.
